Ultimate Lego Birthday Party

I used ideas for Jonathan's Lego birthday party off the internet, and it was a smashing success! Thought I'd share with you guys!

The invitations are made of postcard-sized card stock. Fold them in half. Cut 2-1.5" circles. Attach with foam adhesive pads. Gift bags are green bags from craft store with circles like invitations.

The table runner is spray-painted bubble wrap. The red plates hold a yellow napkin with Lego man faces and a card stock square at top. I bought the Lego cups at a party supply store ($1.25 ea.).

For an activity, we used a large cashe of Legos, and I bought a $5 flat sheet from Walmart. We used some masking tape to turn the sheet into a blueprint for a city. The boys spent an hour trying to build a building to join the self-created Lego city.

For the cake, I suggest using marshmallows for the block knobs or using a light colored cake for less crumb reveal. (For the record, the yellow cupcakes are gluten-free)

Here is a dip I called "Lego Mortar." For the recipe, follow the link to monster cookie dip

All led to one happy birthday boy! So blessed by the 7 years we've had Jonathan. Love him!
